Abstract

A statistical model approach was carried out to study the regional impact of age on productivity of tea with reference to different groups of planting materials used under commercial conditions. Data for the study was collected from the tea estates of north-east India during 1998-99 at the sectional level through mailed questionnaire. The models showed declining trend of productivity from about 20 years irrespective of cultivars and agro-climatic conditions.
